Terms & Conditions
Last updated: January 01, 2026
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of passport-api.com and publicly available materials on the website (the “Website”). By accessing the Website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Website.
Important: production API access, data licensing, support, service levels, and related commercial terms are governed by a separate written agreement arranged through an authorized technology partner. If these Terms conflict with that agreement regarding the licensed services, the separate agreement controls.
1. About Passports API
Passports API provides structured passport mobility and entry-requirement information for business and technology use cases. Production access is offered for a one-time licensing fee currently stated on the Website as USD $1,799 and is sold and onboarded exclusively through technology partners. Final scope, eligibility, price, taxes, usage rights, and implementation terms are confirmed in the applicable partner agreement.
The Website may describe the API as continuously maintained, AI-ready, and supported for the lifetime of the licensed production integration. The applicable partner agreement defines the precise data-maintenance process, support coverage, response channels, exclusions, and other service terms.
2. Website use
You may use the Website for lawful business-information purposes. You must not:
- interfere with or disrupt the Website or attempt to bypass security measures;
- use automated means to extract substantial portions of Website content without written permission;
- misrepresent your identity, affiliation, or authority;
- use the Website to violate law or the rights of others; or
- copy, modify, distribute, or commercially exploit Website content except as permitted by law or a written agreement.
3. API examples and documentation
Code snippets, schemas, field names, values, and responses shown on the Website are illustrative. They are provided to explain the intended developer experience and may be changed, supplemented, or superseded during onboarding or in the applicable documentation for a licensed integration.
4. Travel-information limitations
Passport rankings, mobility scores, visa categories, stay guidance, document conditions, and entry information can change and may depend on nationality, residence, travel date, purpose, itinerary, transit, port of entry, documentation, and individual circumstances.
Website content is general information and is not legal, immigration, consular, or travel advice. It is not a substitute for instructions from the relevant government, embassy, consulate, carrier, or border authority. Travelers and travel providers remain responsible for verifying current official requirements and determining whether a traveler may travel or enter a destination.
5. Intellectual property
The Website, including its design, text, graphics, code, brand elements, compilations, and other content, is owned by or licensed to Passports API and is protected by intellectual-property laws. “Passports API” and associated brand elements may not be used in a way that suggests sponsorship, endorsement, or affiliation without permission.
Third-party company and product names, logos, and trademarks belong to their respective owners. Their appearance on the Website is for identification of relationships described by Passports API and does not transfer any ownership rights.
6. Third-party links and partners
The Website may reference or link to third-party websites, services, or technology partners. We do not control those third parties and are not responsible for their content, security, availability, terms, or privacy practices. Your dealings with a technology partner may be governed by that partner’s separate terms in addition to the agreement covering your licensed integration.
7. Disclaimers
THE WEBSITE AND ITS PUBLIC CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE WEBSITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.
8. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PASSPORTS API AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AND PARTNERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE WEBSITE OR THESE TERMS.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE WEBSITE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD $100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
9. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Passports API and its affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, and partners from claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your unlawful use of the Website or material breach of these Terms.
10. Changes and availability
We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Website and may update these Terms. Updated Terms take effect when posted, unless a later date is stated. Your continued use of the Website after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. To the extent permitted by law, courts located in Delaware will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or the Website.
12. General terms
If a provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our written consent. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Passports API regarding the Website, except for any separate written agreement applicable to licensed services.
